Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account information. If you create a permanent account with email and password, we store your email address. If you sign in with Google, see "Google Sign-In" below. If you use Dahabi without creating an account ("anonymous browsing"), your data is tied to a temporary, anonymous session rather than to any personal identity — no email or name is collected unless and until you choose to sign up.

Your jewelry data. Photos you take or upload of your jewelry, item details you enter or that our AI photo analysis suggests (item type, metal, karat or purity, weight, gemstone information, brand), purchase and sold prices and currencies, notes, and any purchase receipts you choose to upload.

Preferences. Your chosen display language and currency.

2. Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in or sign up with Google, Google shares your email address, name, and profile picture with us so we can create or link your Dahabi account. We never see or store your Google password. You can review or revoke Dahabi's access from your Google Account's security settings at any time.

3. AI Photo Analysis (Third-Party Processing)

When you use the photo-scan feature to add an item, the photo you take is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis — to identify likely item type, metal, karat, and gemstones. This processing is subject to Anthropic's own privacy and data-use practices. We only use this analysis to pre-fill suggestions on the item form for you to review and edit; nothing is auto-saved without your confirmation.

4. How We Store Your Data

Dahabi is built on Supabase, a third-party cloud infrastructure provider, for authentication, our database, and file storage. Your jewelry and receipt photos are stored in private storage — they are never publicly listed or browsable, and are only ever served to you through short-lived, signed URLs that only your account can generate.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or jewelry data to third parties for marketing or any other purpose. Data is shared only with the service providers described in this policy (Supabase, Anthropic, Google, and our metal spot-price data provider), each solely to operate the features you use, and never as a sale of your data.

6. Cookies

Dahabi uses cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference before you're signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This immediately and permanently removes your profile, every jewelry item, and every photo associated with your account — this action cannot be undone. If you use Dahabi anonymously and never create a permanent account, that data isn't tied to any personal identity and may be lost if you clear your browser's data, sign out, or switch devices, since there's no way to recover an anonymous session.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Dahabi after a change means you accept the revised policy.
